GET A FREE MEMBERSHIP AT THE YMCA
You might be eligible for a FREE membership.  The Silver Sneakers Fitness Program is offered in partnership with select health plans at no additional cost to eligible participants.  Contact your insurance company to see if they participate in the Silver Sneakers Program.  If eligible, your membership will include Silver Sneakers Classes, other classes offered at the YMCA, guidance from qualified fitness instructors and the Senior Advisor, social activities and the use of the fitness center and pool.  Contact the Member-Services Desk or Donna Huntington, Active Older Adult Coordinator if your insurance company participates in this program.

Body Blast Step & Sculpt
A full body workout focusing on cardio via a step workout as well as defining muscles and building overall body strength using all the “toys”, such as weights, bars, ball, bands, etc.

Cardio Connection
Get a great workout in 60 minutes. The main focus of this class is on cardio using a variety of formats, exercises and utilizing different equipment. Join us for the total body workout experience.

Core Strength and Stretch
This class is geared toward the senior population, as well as those with disabilities who could handle the class. This class focuses on postural exercises, strengthening, stretching and flexibility for the overall body apparatus including cardio to strengthen the heart.

Corrective Exercise Class
This class addresses injury prevention including proper posture, self massage, stretching, and strengthening exercises.  This class also helps alleviate pain for those who suffer from back, knee, hip, neck pain, etc. and applies functional exercises applicable to life.

Grab Bag Fitness
Show up and be surprised by that type of cardio strength class is in store for you. Instructors rotating monthly will keep you guessing by mixing things up.

Mature Dance Class
For fit seniors, this class has fun with various dance routines and dance styles.

Mature Osteo Prevention
(Free to all Participants)
This class involves lifting of light weights and gentle stretching for the purpose of preventing osteoporosis.  Must pre-register for this class.

Pilates Plus
A gentle, yet effective resistance program that focuses on the whole body, particularly the core.  Improves muscle control, flexibility, coordination, strength and posture.  Quality-not quantity.  A variety of equipment will be used to enhance and modify.  Pilates is for “everybody”- from beginners to the advanced.

Potluck Luncheon
3rd Tuesday of every month at 12:30 PM
All seniors are welcomed to this friendly monthly social event followed by a special speaker.  Bring your favorite dish to share and enjoy with others while listening to musical entertainment provided by Peter McCarthy.  While you’re there, ask about being a part of the Golden Club.  Get a free health screening provided by the Salem County Health Initiative.

SilverSneakers® - Muscular Strength & Range of Movement
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

SilverSneakers® YogaStretch
Yoga Stretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses.  Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement.  Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Super Circuit Class
Work all of your muscles and cardiovascular system all in the same 30 minute workout.

Turbo Step
Fight the fat! Improve your energy endurance and have some fun. This step class uses rhythm and travel moves to keep you stepping to the funky beat. Warm-up, do some basic step moves and then challenge yourself with some fun choreography. Finish it all off with a cool down, abs and some lower body strength exercises.

Yoga for Every Body
Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been practicing for years, this yoga class will challenge you to a new level. Come join this class where you’ll reach a new height of awareness and move above and beyond where you thought you could be.

Yoga Pilates Essentials
This class will engage your mind, body and spirit using rhythmic breathing to come into and out of poses practiced in a continuous flowing sequence. It also provides a unique method of strengthening and stretching exercises that focus on the “powerhouse”, the abdominals, hips, lower back and buttocks.
